Carrier Delay

Pates Plus takes enormous pride in every product we offer and strive to deliver them in the best possible condition on the requested delivery date. While there are many things we do to mitigate the risk of shipping frozen food across the country, there are unfortunately some things outside of our control like the weather and transit delays once the package is in the hands of FedEx, UPS or USPS. As such, the shipping guidelines published on this website are not guarantees of a shipping or arrival date. 

Pates Plus is not responsible for delays in transit caused by high package volume, weather, mechanical error, strikes, natural disasters, terrorism safety control, local carrier mis-scans or inaccurate/incomplete shipping information, and we do not require a signature for the release of any shipment. Leaving a package at an address is ultimately up to the complete discretion of the individual delivery person and is therefore entirely outside our control.

Delivery Times

Pates Plus is unable to guarantee the time of delivery, as this is all subject to the local carrier. Most of our partnered carriers will deliver packages anytime between 8:00am – 10:00pm, Monday through Friday (with the exception of bank holidays). If you are placing an order for a time-sensitive event, we recommend placing your order early and scheduling it to arrive two (2) or more days before your event. We also highly recommend freezing our products upon arrival to preserve freshness (do not refrigerate).

In anticipation of high package volumes (especially during holidays) or other uncontrollable events, we may have your order shipped early to ensure that it arrives in good condition. Pates Plus reserves the right to schedule the arrival of your order earlier or later than estimated to prevent delays, based on operational conditions. 

Signature Required

For our standard free shipping service, Pates Plus does not require a signature for the delivery of its packages.  Pates Plus is not responsible for packages that require a signature but are not delivered because no one is home to sign.

Reroutes and Correcting Shipping Information

Customers are responsible for checking that all shipping information is correct (including shipping address and confirmation email) before submitting an order.  If you recognize a mistake, please email bonjour@patesplusbakery.com as soon as possible.  Any request to change shipping information prior to your order being shipped out will be done as a courtesy, free of charge.  If you need to modify the delivery address once your order has already shipped, a $35 address change processing fee will apply to your order per shipping box. Once an address modification is requested, carriers require one business day to process the change, which may delay the package. Pates Plus is not responsible for delays in transit caused by address modification.
